Tall mountains and deep valleys surround Sirdal. The nature is varied and full of surprises. The possibilities are many when travelling around Sirdal on foot. You can take a walk in one of the many hiking trails, or you can experience the nature by walking off the beaten path. You can also experience everything from large cairns, airplane wrecks from the second world war and old mines. If you are lucky, you might also spot a grouse, a moose or other animals that roam freely, here in Sirdal.
For camping, laws allow free roaming and therefore camping in nature, and it is also possible to rent a cabin from Stavanger Turistforening or Statskog.
